CASE-ING TUESDAY #308 - SWEET STRAWBERRY 🍓

Welcome back to another CASE-ING TUESDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE!

It's a HOT DAY here in Colorado! Record breaking heat has got me thinking about strawberry banana smoothies!! What's your favorite smoothie recipe? Share it below in the comments.

As many of you know, the Sweet Strawberry Bundle was on backorder about a month ago! IT WAS SO WORTH THE WAIT! I was happy when it finally came back in stock. I can't even begin to tell you how adorable these strawberries are in real life! I was also thinking they would be perfect for a strawberry patch scrapbook layout.

The original card we are CASE-ING this week can be found on page 86 of the Annual Catalog. I have to admit this badger was a new face to me. I must have overlooked this adorable stamp set. If you love badgers then the Badger Besties (#156930) Stamp Set is for you!!!

Here are the card measurements. Looks simple enough.

I started with a 4-1/2" x 11" Real Red card base scored @ 5-1/2" and folded in half.  I layered a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black on top of the card base. I cut several random strips from the exclusive Hostess Pattern Party 12" x 12" DSP. I had to play around with the length & size of the strips to my liking. I then layered them onto the card base creating a fun design that was similar to the original card posted above.

Using two-step stamping, I stamped the inside of the strawberry image with Poppy Parade Ink. Next, I stamped the outside of the strawberry image with Real Red Ink. I stamped the inside of the stem using Pear Pizzazz Ink. Stamp the outside image with Old Olive Ink. Punch the images out using the coordinating Strawberry Builder Punch. I attached the stems onto the strawberries using Mini Glue Dots.

For this added element of design, I stamped the vine in Memento Black Ink onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock. I used my Dark Old Olive Stampin' Blend to color the lines inside the leaves. I used my Light Old Olive Stampin' Blends to color the remaining area. I added a touch of "yellow" to the center of the flowers using my Light Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blend. I fussy cut the image out using my Paper Snips. I then added a three 2021-2023 In Color Jewels for some additional sparkle!

For the last step, I stamped the greeting in Memento Black Ink on a Basic White Stitched So Sweetly Rectangle Die (#4).

I then attached the Stitched So Sweetly Rectangle die cut to the center of the card base using Dimensionals. I added Mini Dimensionals to the backside of the vine and attached it to the upper left corner of the die cut. I added a few Dimensionals to the back of the strawberries and attached them to the card.

Now it's your turn! Create your take on this week's sample and be sure to share it on the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group using #caseingtuesday308.
