CASE-ING TUESDAY #306 - ARTISTICALLY INKED

Welcome back to another CASE-ING TUESDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE!

My card this week focuses on products from the Expressions in Ink Suite Collection found on page 96-97 of the Annual Catalog. I can't even begin to tell you how beautiful this suite is in real life. It is by far MY FAVORITE PRODUCT SUITE of all time!!! Honestly, this DSP is so GORGEOUS I found myself having an extremely hard time cutting it to create this fun card.  One of the things I love, is that the DSP also includes gold foiling which is where my creative inspiration began.

The original sketch features the Free as a Bird Stamp Set. The card example shown in the catalog can be found on page 82 on the Annual Catalog. I love the all colored details on the birds.

This is another pretty simple sketch even for beginners. The only thing I didn't follow was the 3" x 3-3/4" measurement. I used several die cuts instead.

I selected Pale Papaya for my card base. I cut a piece of the striped gold foiling design from the DSP down to 4" x 5-1/4". Next, I adhered it to the 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" card base.

I stamped two of the rose flower images in Pale Papaya Ink and cut them out using the coordinating Artistic dies. The leaves were stamped in Pear Pizzazz Ink and also cut out using the coordinating Artistic dies.

I was stumped. At first I couldn't figure out which die cut the original card used. After I "zoomed" in on the photo, I realized it was actually two die cuts overlapping each other. The large die cut is from the Hippo & Friends Dies. The smaller die cut is from Tasteful Labels Dies.  I loved the peach colored flower design on one of the sheets of DSP so I decided to die cut it using the larger die. Adhere the large die cut it to the middle of the card base leaving approximately 1/2" from the top. Next, I die cut the solid label using Basic White cardstock. I added one of the gold foil elements from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack on the Basic White label. I attached the label on the large printed die cut using dimensionals. The "Best Wishes" sentiment was stamped in Pear Pizzazz Ink on Basic White cardstock. I die cut the sentiment using one of the stitched dies from the Tasteful Labels. I stamped the image towards the end and tucked the remaining portion under the Basic White Label.

I attached one of the Leaf Gold Foil elements from the Ephemera Pack using a glue dot. I also tied Basic White Baker's Twine around the Label and tied a bow. Read below to figure out how I created the gold foil accents for the center of the roses.

The last element of design was created using one of the Gold Foil branches from the Ephemera Pack shown above. I actually fussy cut the "circles" and then glued three of them to the center of the roses using my Fine Tip Glue Pen. Great idea, huh!
