CASE-ING TUESDAY #357 - NATURE'S PRINTS

Happy Tuesday! I hope you are having a great day. Here's a look at the fun card I want to share with you. It features products from the Sun Prints Suite Collection. When I first spotted the Sun Prints 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper in the Annual Catalog. I immediately fell in love. The subtle blue tones along with gray & white accents really help make the fern & dandelion images stand out. Plus, all the floral images and great sentiments found in the coordinating Nature's Print Stamp Set make this a collection I know I will come back to time and time again!

The simplicity of the example card helped provide inspiration for the card I designed. The designers used mainly die cut images on the cardstock layers instead of bold paper designs. Be sure to check it out on page 17 of the Annual Catalog. It features the Pretty Pop-Ups Dies and Celebrating You Stamp Set.

I mixed my card up a bit this week. I decided to forgo the center layer and eliminated it completely.

Measurements:
Night of Navy Cardstock: 4-1/4" x 11" score at 5-1/2" & folded in half
Basic White Cardstock Layer: 4" x 5-1/4"
Sun Prints DSP Layer (Top): 1-3/4" x 4"
Sun Prints DSP Layer (Bottom): 1-3/4" x 4"

As I mentioned above, I totally eliminated the center measurement. I opted instead to emboss the Basic White cardstock layer with the Fern Embossing Folder. I only embossed approximately a 1/4" of the cardstock layer.

I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy Ink and added (3) Brushed Brass Butterflies embellishments.

Next, I added dimensionals to both of the Sun Prints DSP layers and attached them to the Basic White cardstock layer. I wrapped approximately 5" of the new Silver 3/8" Metallic Edge Cotton Ribbon around the Basic White layer as shown. I tied a bow using the same ribbon and attached it to the layer using a Mini Glue Dot.

Once complete, I adhered the Basic White cardstock layer to the card base using Stampin' Seal.

I thought it would be fun to add a little color to the inside of the card. I stamped the fern image in Night of Navy ink once, slightly rotated the stamp, and stamped the image again without re-inking the stamp. That gives a subtle version of the image as shown.

I hope you like the card I created for you today.

Now it's your turn! Create your take on this week's sample and be sure to share it on the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group using #caseingtuesday357.

Happy Stamping!
