CASE-ING TUESDAY #354 - CUP OF TEA
TODAY’S THE DAY!!!
The 2022-2023 ANNUAL CATALOG IS LIVE!
I'm using the Cup of Tea Bundle for today's card. I have to admit this set was just "not my cup of tea" when I first viewed it in the catalog. That immediately changed once I started seeing all the cute projects being made with it. Has that ever happened to you? Anyways, I hope you consider purchasing this AMAZING suite collection. You won't be disappointed!
Here's the card example we are CASE-ing this week. It can be found on page 179 of the Annual Catalog. The stamped images are from the Sit Stay Relax Host Stamp Set (#159152). You can earn it using Stampin' Rewards.
For the most part, I followed the sketch measurements exactly. I just felt like my card was missing an additional layer behind the circle shapes so I decided to add a piece of vellum. Subtle touch.
Measurements:
Sweet Sorbet Cardstock: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" score at 4-1/4" & folded in half
Vellum Cardstock Layer: 4-1/4" x 5-1/2"
Basic White Circle: 3"
Tea Boutique DSP (Crushed Curry): 2-1/2"
Tea Boutique DSP (Floral Print): 2-1/2"
Tea Boutique DSP (Petal Pink Gingham): 2-1/8"
Tea Boutique DSP (Sweet Sorbet Polka Dot): 1-5/8"
Tea Boutique DSP (Parakeet Party Stripe): 1-1/4"
I used the Teacup Dies to die cut the solid Basic White teacup. I die cut the outer layer using Petal Pink cardstock. Adhere the two die cut pieces together and attach to the 3" Circle die cut using several dimensionals. Stamp the branches in Mossy Meadow ink on a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock and die cut the images out. Add a few mini dimensionals underneath and attach it towards the top of the teacup. Stamp the lemon image in Daffodil Delight Ink on Basic White cardstock. Die cut the image out. Die cut the lemon rind in Daffodil Delight cardstock. Glue the two together and attach to the card front using several mini dimensionals. Next, stamp the flowers in Sweet Sorbet Ink on Basic White cardstock and die cut the images out. Don't worry! It's one large die rather than several so it makes it quick and easy. Attach the flowers to the top of the branches using Glue Dots. Add (2) small pearls to the large flowers. I stamped the greeting in Tuxedo Memento Black Ink and then used the large tea bag to die cut the image out. Next, I punched a tiny hole in the top of the tea bag and tied a 4" piece of Sweet Sorbet Baker's Twine into a bow. Attach the tea bag to the card base using a dimensional.
I love this Tea Boutique 6" x 6" patterned paper! There are so many designs to choose from. The possibilities are endless!
Now it's your turn! Create your take on this week's sample and be sure to share it on the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group using #caseingtuesday354.
