CASE-ING TUESDAY #415 - Translucent Florals by Stampin' Up!
Hello! I missed posting my card yesterday for the CASE-ing Tuesday Sketch Challenge because of the 4th of July holiday. I hope it was worth the wait. I love all the earth tones found in the Earthen Elegance 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper Pack. I paired the neutral colors with Lost Lagoon to create this beautiful card.
I recently attended Creativity Now. This event was exclusive to Stampin' Up! Demonstrators on June 24th. We had the opportunity to order the Translucent Florals Bundle early for this fun event. The bundle is a pretty floral cling stamp and die set that will be available in the upcoming September-December 2023 Holiday Catalog.
Here's a look at the card we are CASE-ing. It can be found on page 41 of the Annual Catalog and features the Wonderful Thoughts Dies.
To create this look, you will need a 4-1/4" x 11" (scored @ 5-1/2") Pecan Pie card base. Cut a piece of Earthen Elegance DSP that is 3-1/2" x 5". Adhere this layer to the card base in the middle. Next, cut a piece of the Earthen Elegance DSP that is 2-7/8" x 12". I used the brown floral print design because I thought it replicated the image from the Translucent Florals Bundle. Using the Wonderful Thoughts Dies you will need to die cut (5) of the labels out of the paper design you just cut. Adhere each of the die cut labels to the front of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
It's time to stamp! Using the Translucent Florals Stamp Set, you will need to stamp the floral branch image twice. Once in Crumb Ink & then again in Pecan Pie Ink on a piece of Basic White Cardstock. Die cut both images out using the coordinating floral branch die from the Translucent Florals Dies. Attach the Pecan Pie floral branch die cut to the card base using a few Mini Glue Dots. Next, attach the Crumb Cake floral branch die cut to the card base (overlapping the other branch die cut) using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Using Lost Lagoon ink stamp the smaller floral image on Basic White cardstock. You will need to complete this step three times. Die cut all three images out using the coordinating floral die from the Translucent Florals Dies. Attach all (3) floral die cut images to the card base using Mini Glue Dots. I like to tuck them under the floral branch die cuts just slightly.
Lastly, stamp the greeting in Pecan Pie Ink on Basic White cardstock. Using the same label die from the Wonderful Thoughts Die Set that you used previously. Die cut the greeting. Attach the greeting to the front of the card using two dimensionals. Notice how I tucked the far left corner of the greeting underneath the floral branch.
Apply (3) Brushed Metallic Dots in Copper to the card front as shown.
I wanted to add a "pop" of color so I added a fun bow using the 2023-2025 In Color Jute Trim in Copper Clay. It adds a nice touch don't you think?
