CASE-ING TUESDAY #321 - BEAUTY OF TOMORROW
Happy Tuesday everyone! Are you ready for another CASE-ing Tuesday Sketch Challenge? I know I am! I have a great card to share with you today using products from the Blackberry Beauty Suite. This suite shouts Fall to me. You can definitely tell Fall is in the air here in Colorado. The nights are getting cooler and the beautiful aspen trees are starting to change. Hues of gold, burgundy, and orange will soon fill our landscape. One of my favorite things to do this time each year is to visit Rocky Mountain National Park.
Here is my take on this week's sketch challenge.
The card we are CASE-ing (Copy And Share Everything) can be found on page 32 of the Holiday Mini Catalog. I have been eyeing this stamp set for awhile. It's called Delivering Cheer and you can mix and match different images to create a perfect combination from head to toe.
Here are the card measurements to follow. I ended up changing the 4-1/4" x 2-3/4" card stock layer. I shortened mine to 3-3/4" to help it fit better on the front of my card.
Here's another look at the front of the card. Read below to learn how I created this look.
I started with a 4-1/4" x 11" piece of BlackBerry Bliss cardstock scored at 5-1/2" and folded in half. Using the card template posted above, I cut a 2-1/4" x 4" piece of Be Dazzling 6" x 6" Specialty Paper. Remember you can earn this paper FREE with any purchase of $50 or more. Next, I cut a 2" x 4-5/8" piece of patterned paper from the Blackberry Beauty 12" x 12" DSP. I cut both ends into a pennant using my paper snips.
Before you adhere both layers to the card base, you will need to stamp tone on tone using Blackberry Bliss Ink. I love this "splatter" stamp found in the Beauty of Tomorrow Stamp Set. Get CRAZY with it! It doesn't have to be perfect. I did rotate the stamp in all directions to get the look you se above. Once finished, you can adhere both pennant layers to the card base.
I cut a 2-3/4" x 3-3/4" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. I stamped the floral image with Blackberry Bliss Ink a total of three times stamping off each time. Not sure what that means? Take a look below to see my example.
Basically, you stamp the first image in full strength, stamp the image again, and then stamp one last time. DO NOT RE-INK your stamp!!!
Once complete, adhere this layer to the front of your card.
Ink this same image again with Bumblebee Ink. Take a sponge dauber and place the tip in Cinnamon Cider ink. Randomly "Dab" the image with the sponge dauber. You will end up with a similar image like below.
Next, die cut the image out using the coordinating Beautiful Leaves Dies. I attached the die cut to the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals.
I stamped the bird image in Early Espresso Ink and die cut the image out. I attached it with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Check out below to see how you can create this layered sentiment. I cut a 6" piece of 3/8" Fine Art Ribbon and folded it in half. I attached it to the front of the card using Glue Dots.
I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso ink and then cut it into three pieces using my paper snips. I also added a (3) Genial Gems for a bit of sparkle.
Now it's your turn! Create your take on this week's sample and be sure to share it on the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group using #caseingtuesday319.
