CASE-ING TUESDAY #320 - GINGERBREAD & PEPPERMINT

Hello Stampers! Welcome back to another CASE-ing Tuesday Sketch Challenge! I went shopping over the holiday weekend and noticed that most of the retailers were just starting to put out all their Christmas items. My card today features products from the Gingerbread & Peppermint Suite.

I love all the "Yumminess" found in this suite! It reminds me of one our family traditions. Every Christmas we bake Gingerbread cookies.

The card we are CASE-ing this week is found on page 65 of the Mini Holiday Catalog.

Here are the card measurements if you want to play along. You can copy it exactly as is, or mix it up a bit just like I did!

I started with a 4-1/4" x 11" piece of Real Red cardstock scored at 5-1/2" and folded in half. I selected this stripe pattern from the Gingerbread & Peppermint 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Stack. I trimmed it down to 4" x 5-1/4" and adhered it to the front of the card base.

I cut several different styles of labels using the Tasteful Labels Dies. If you don't have these in your craft stash yet you are definitely missing out! These dies are fantastic for creating custom die-cut labels of various shapes and sizes. They are perfect for cards, tags, and scrapbook pages! I cut the largest one in Old Olive cardstock. I cut the second one in Real Red cardstock. I cut the third one using the Be Dazzling 6" x 6" Specialty Paper that you can earn FREE with any $50 Stampin' Up! purchase. Better hurry! Once this paper goes on low inventory that is it. Stampin' Up! has announced they will not be ordering anymore. Last, I stamped the sentiment in Real Red Ink on Basic White cardstock and die cut the shape out. I used dimensionals to attach it the rest of the labels.

One of the cool things I love about Stampin' Up! products is that EVERYTHING coordinates! Did you know the Gingerbread Dies coordinate with the DSP? Yes!!! As I've shown above, you can die cut the peppermint candy using the coordinating die. It's time to get the handle cranking on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine! LOL!

Time for some fun! I grabbed my Wink of Stella Glitter Brush and colored the white portion on each of the peppermint candies with the brush tip. It's great for accenting stamped images as well. The color is clear so if you accidentally wander outside of the lines no one will ever notice!

I tried to capture how the peppermints are "glistening" from the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush in this photo. It's a little hard to see because of the lighting in my home. Unfortunately, we have heavy smoke (from the wildfires out West) again so the sun isn't shining as bright.

Now it's your turn! Create your take on this week's sample and be sure to share it on the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group using #caseingtuesday319.
