SO COOL - APRIL 2021 PAPER PUMPKIN KIT ALTERNATIVE CARDS

Hi everyone! I finally had a chance to catch up on last month's Paper Pumpkin Kit. I really enjoyed creating these fun alternative cards using elements from this great kit! I also paired the projects with the coordinating Ice Cream Corner DSP & Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set.

I hope you like them.

I cut a majority of the cards in half and used the printed design as the feature element on all my cards.

I was sad to see the Whisper White Polka Dot ribbon retire. I use this ribbon A LOT! It's so versatile and literally goes with everything. I think I'm finally getting close to end of my spool.

Cardstock: Pear Pizzazz, Basic Black
Ink: Memento Black
DSP: Ice Cream Corner

I used my handy dandy Stamparatus to stamp the "happy birthday" sentiment on each side. This stamping tool is a MUST HAVE for all stampers. The Stamparatus helps you perfectly align stamp images, stamp multiples of the same project quickly and precisely, and get complete ink coverage. First, I lined the image up with the card base exactly where I wanted it. Next, I applied the photopolymer stamp to the reversible plate, added ink to the stamp, and closed the plate. It's that easy! I stamped the right side first. Notice how the sentiment is stamped in the opposite direction? Leaving the stamp on the reversible plate, I flipped the card upside down and stamped on the left side of the card base. I cut the watermelon card into four slices. I used a scallop punch to leave the "bite" marks on each of the watermelon slices.

Cardstock: Poppy Parade, Basic Black, Basic White
Ink: Poppy Parade
DSP: Ice Cream Corner

This card features one of the cool stickers from the kit. Who doesn't love eating watermelon on a hot Summer day? I added dimensionals underneath before I applied it to the card base. I also placed the sentiment in the center of the sun.

Cardstock: Pear Pizzazz, Petal Pink, Basic Black
Ink: Memento Black

I LOVE pairing Granny Apple Green & Blackberry Bliss together! That was my color inspiration for this fun card. The Kiwi Popsicles look "YUMMY" enough to eat!

Cardstock: Soft Sea Foam, Blackberry Bliss, Granny Apple Green
Ink: Blackberry Bliss
DSP: Ice Cream Corner

For this card, I left the original card in tact and turned it into a gift card holder instead. I added dimensionals on the bottom of the card and then adhered it to the card base slightly at an angle.

Cardstock: Pool Party, Bermuda Bay
Ink: Bermuda Bay
DSP: Ice Cream Corner

I used a couple of Glue Dots to adhere the gift card to the card base. I stamped "treat yourself" in Bermuda Bay ink and used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to die cut the sentiment. I layered it over the top of the silver glimmer die cut that came inside the kit.
