CASE-ING TUESDAY #304 - SWEET AS A PEACH
Here it is! This week's CASE-ING TUESDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE.
I selected products from the You're a Peach Suite for my card this week. I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this suite. I actually started playing around with these products last weekend. The subtle colors are just GORGEOUS! Plus, the You're a Peach DSP has so many fun patterns.
The original sketch features the Sweet Symmetry product suite. It's found on page 112 on the Annual Catalog. I just ordered this stamp set and I still need to order the punch. The punch became available once I had already placed my order. LOL!
I used the Sweet as a Peach Bundle to create this card. Here in Colorado there is a town called Palisade that is nestled next to the Colorado River. They are famous for their peach orchards and wine vineyards. Usually, we can find the famous peaches at Farmer's Markets & our local Supermarkets. We like to get a case every year. They are ginormous and taste delicious!
I selected the new 2021-2023 In Color Pale Papaya as my 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" card base. Next, I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Balmy Blue cardstock.
I embossed the 4" x 5-1/4" Balmy Blue cardstock layer with the Ornate Flowers Embossing Folder. It adds the perfect amount of texture to the card. I cut a 3" x 5" piece of DSP and adhered it to the embossed layer. Last, adhere a 3-1/8" x 4-1/8" piece of Basic White cardstock vertically in the center of the card.
The large die cut peach was stamped in Pale Papaya Ink. Then I used a sponge dauber and added Calypso Coral Ink to the tip of the dauber and randomly selected areas on the peach to add the darker color. I can't believe how realistic the color looks once the ink dries. I used the coordinating Peach Dies to cut the image out. The leaf die cut was stamped in Pear Pizzazz Ink and was cut out using the coordinating Peach Dies.
The sentiment was stamped in Pear Pizzazz Ink on a 3/4" x 3" Balmy Blue cardstock. I added a bow using the new 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon in Pale Papaya just below the sentiment using a Mini Glue Dot.
Check out the new Clear Epoxy Essentials shapes! They also come in silver. I like to use my Take Your Pick Tool to add them to the large peach images. I think they look just like dew. I added dimensionals under each of the peach die cuts and the leaves.
Now it's your turn! Create your take on this week's sample and be sure to share it on the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group using #caseingtuesday304.
