Monday Montage #266 - Magnolia Mood
Welcome to the Monday Montage Blog Hop! Are you in the mood for flowers? With the Magnolia Mood stamp set you can create magnolia flowers so beautiful you can almost smell them! Stamp, then die cut a single flower or bouquet to use on cards or other paper crafts.
Paper selection is key to creating a beautiful card. Always consider paper coordination and decide what colors will best compliment. Pink and light brown color tones always work well together. I selected two patterns from two different Designer Series Paper packs that feature the color Crumb Cake. The top layer features a woodgrain design that can be found in the Country Woods 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper pack. The bottom layer features a canvas texture design from the Wildly Flowering 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper pack.
Look closely. Can you see the details on the white card layer? That's the new Wood Textured 12" x 12" Specialty Paper. This paper is embossed with a wood design and works great with a variety of different projects.
The Magnolia Mood Dies help you cut out a GORGEOUS bouquet in seconds. I paired the detailed flower cut outs with solid Old Olive cardstock leaves.
I accented the 1/4" Petal Pink Diagonal bow with a Linen Thread bow. This is a great way to add depth.
Additional details include three Opal Rounds Assortment in clear. They come in multiple sizes.
I stamped the Magnolia flower in a single color using Gray Granite ink. You don't need more than that because the detailed artwork also adds depth. I colored the magnolia flowers using Petal Pink Stampin' Blends and the leaves using Old Olive Stampin' Blends.
