CASE-ING TUESDAY #413 - DAINTY DELIGHT CLING STAMP SET

Welcome back to another CASE-ing Tuesday Sketch Challenge. My card this week was inspired by a hike I took yesterday with a group of friends. We hiked Devil's Backbone. The scenery was gorgeous.

The wildflowers were in full bloom during our hike. The grasslands are carpeted with beautiful wildflowers because of the extra rain we have had over the last few weeks. The Devil's Backbone itself is one of the most impressive and visible geologic landmarks in Larimer County.  

In order to create this week's card, I grabbed some of my favorite colors of Stampin' Blends. Stampin' Blends Markers are alcohol-based markers. They are so easy to use. They are perfect for adding color to line art images of people, nature, and more. You can combine the two shades to create highlights and shadows for a 3D coloring effect.  

This is the card we are CASE-ing this week. The sample can be found on page 21 of the Annual Catalog. I followed the measurements exactly. 

I started with a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" Blackberry Bliss card base. 

Next, I stamped a row of small flowers tone on tone (Blackberry Bliss Ink on the Blackberry Bliss cardstock) along the bottom of the card base. This just adds a little bit of dimension. 

I stamped the flower image from the Dainty Delight Stamp Set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the 4-1/8" x 5" Basic White Cardstock layer. For the next step, I selected my colors of Stampin' Blends. 

I used the following colors for the flowers: 

1. Blackberry Bliss 
2. Petal Pink
3. Azure Afternoon
4. Highland Heather
5. Daffodil Delight

I used the following colors for the leaves & stems: 

1. Old Olive
2. Soft Sea Foam

Adhere the layer to the card base once complete. 

I cut approximately 5" of Natural Finish 7/8" Ribbon and folded it in half. Next, I trimmed both ends at an angle. I stamped the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink on a 2" x 2-1/4" piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock. I adhered the ribbon underneath the banner using dimensionals. Apply the banner to the card base using dimensionals. 

For the last step, I added several Brushed Brass Butterflies to complete the look.
