CASE-ING TUESDAY #393 - FRAGRANT FLOWERS
It's that time again! Time for this week's CASE-ing Tuesday Sketch Challenge. Let's get the creative juices flowing!
Don't you just love it when things come together perfectly? That's what happened with the card I created this week. It started with a color choice, then moved on to paper selection, and finally the coordinating bundle. My card features the Fragrant Flowers Bundle which coordinates perfectly with the Favored Flowers 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper that you can earn FREE during Sale-A-Bration. I altered the measurements slightly for this week's challenge. I wanted to showcase more the print designs found on the Favored Flowers 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper. You can check out the measurements I used posted below.
Steps:
- Card Base (4-1/4" x 11" scored at 5-1/2") Blackberry Bliss cardstock
- Paper Layers:
- 3-1/4" x 5" Favored Flowers 12" x 12" DSP
- 2-3/4" x 4-3/8" Favored Flowers 12" x 12" DSP
- 2-1/2" x 4-1/4" Basic White cardstock
- Additional Cardstock:
- Blackberry Bliss
- Evening Evergreen
- Vellum
- Ink:
- VersaMark
- Stampin' Write Markers:
- Blackberry Bliss
- Mossy Meadow
- Stamp Set: Fragrant Flowers
- Stamp each of the flowers using the following steps:
- Color the small flower using the brush tip end of a Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Write Marker. DO NOT STAMP YET.
- Color the leaves using the brush tip end of a Mossy Meadow Stampin' Write Marker.
- "Huff" on the stamp with hot air.
- Stamp the flower image on the 2-1/2" x 4-1/4" Basic White cardstock layer.
- Repeat these steps until you have the desired number of flower images.
- Heat Emboss Greeting:
- Stamp "Hello" in VersaMark ink on Blackberry Bliss label.
- Apply Black Stampin' Emboss Powder
- Tap off any excess powder
- Heat Emboss using a Heat Tool
- Dies: Fragrant Flowers & Something Fancy
- Die cut a total of (4) 2 large, 2 small leaves using Vellum cardstock
- Die cut one large Evening Evergreen cardstock label for sentiment
- Die cut one small Blackberry Bliss cardstock label for sentiment
- Ribbon: Three Twine Combo Pack
- Cut approximately 12" inches of the Garden Green Twine. Tie a large bow. Trim excess off ends. HELPFUL TIP: I place a large dimensional on the backside of the label and use that to help hold the Twine in place.
- Embellishments: Matte Black Dots
- (3) 1 large, 2 small
