SCRAPBOOKING GLOBAL BLOG HOP FEBRUARY 2022
Welcome back to another fun Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop! If it's your first time visiting my page, I'm so happy you are here!
Our theme challenge this month was Happy Birthday. I have to admit, I am SO BEHIND on birthday scrapbook pages of my daughter. This is the first one I have created since she was born 16 years ago. Better late than never, right?!
A big shout out to Julia Quinn our Scrapbooking Global Design Team Member for selecting this month's theme challenge.
Here is the "Happy Happy Birthday" page I created to commemorate my daughter turning 15. I chose various designs from the Pattern Party 12" x 12" Host Designer Series Paper which coordinates perfectly with the colors in her cake. Whatever type of pattern you need, you'll find it in this paper pack. This is a host product that is only available with Stampin' Rewards. I started with the polka dot design for my background. I also trimmed the 4" x 6" picture down to 3-1/2" x 5-1/2".
Here are the additional pattern paper design measurements:
Horizontal Rainbow Stripe: 9" x 9"
Flirty Flamingo Vertical Stripe: 2" x 10"
Scallop: 1-5/8" x 6-1/2"
Basic White Cardstock Layer: 5-1/2" x 7-1/5"
Bold Diagonal: 1" x 2-1/4"
Do you recognize this sentiment? Probably not. It's actually a brand new stamp set that comes in the All Exclusive Light the Candles Card Kit. It has a bunch of great sentiments that correlate perfectly with my page. I stamped both of the sentiments vertically using Memento Black Ink.
What birthday celebration is complete without confetti? The tradition of confetti has been around since the Roman times and represents that life is both bitter and sweet. I stamped the confetti using Coastal Cabana and Flirty Flamingo ink on both corners of the Basic White cardstock layer.
Next, I punched various balloon designs in two sizes using the retired Balloon Bouquet Punch. I stamped the round confetti design in Coastal Cabana ink on the large solid Coastal Cabana Balloon. I carefully placed a Glue Dot underneath each of the balloons and then used White Baker's Twine for the tail. I trimmed each in various sizes and tied all of them together forming a knot. Next, I added a small Flirty Flamingo Bow from the retired Stocking Dies. I love how this colorful balloon bouquet turned out!
Once again I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black Ink. I die cut the numbers in Coastal Cabana cardstock using the retired Large Numbers Dies. I added several mini dimensionals underneath to help elevate it off the page.
I hope my birthday page helps inspire you to create one of your own!
