CASE-ING TUESDAY #342 - WAVES OF THE OCEAN 🌊

Hello everyone! Welcome back to another CASE-ing Tuesday Sketch Challenge! Sorry I missed last week. We were in Omaha for the Northern Lights National Qualifier.

I've got a fun card to share with you today. The stamps and dies are both early release products from the upcoming 2022-2023 Annual Catalog! The Waves of Ocean collection will be available for purchase starting on March 1 - May 2.

Each of the world’s wide and open oceans is brimming with beauty and wonder. Marvelous marine animals, miles of submerged mountain ranges, and unique underwater plants lie thousands of feet below Earth’s dry surface, encouraging exploration and awaiting discovery.

Discover the depths of the ocean—and your artistic abilities—with the Waves of the Ocean Collection! This coastal collection includes an inspiring set of stamps and detailed dies, both early-release products from the upcoming 2022–2023 Annual Catalog. Plus, a pack of paper made from images of hand-poured paint, blue-hued foil sheets for a sea of shine, and radiant rhinestones for a splash of sparkle—each an exclusive product you can only purchase during the promotion period!

Explore artistic expression with the Waves of the Ocean Collection. With these seaside supplies, you’ll dive into inspiration and swim in a sea of creativity!

Here's the example card we are CASE-ING this week. It's being featured on page 57 of the Spring Catalog. The stamp set is called  In The Moment.

This is a great card sketch because it allows you to showcase several patterns of DSP. You could also use up any paper scraps you may have lying around.

I started with a Thick Basic White card base. I selected a fun pattern from the Waves of Ocean 12" x 12" DSP. I cut (3) 3/4" x 4-1/2" strips and glued them to the card base. As noted above, this paper was designed using images from hand-poured paint!

I cut (3) 1" x 3-1/2" Night of Navy strips from the Blues Foils 12" x 12" Specialty Paper pack. I attached them to the front of the card overlapping the DSP strips.

I stamped the wave in Pool Party Ink on a Basic White Stitched Rectangle Die Cut. I die cut the outside wave in Soft Succulent cardstock. I glued the wave on top of the stamped image. I attached the rectangle die cut to the card base using dimensionals.

Next, I added (3) Coastal Cabana Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels.

I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink on Basic White cardstock and die cut the image out using this cool label die from the Waves Dies. I attached the label to the card base using dimensionals.

Now it's your turn! Create your take on this week's sample and be sure to share it on the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group using #caseingtuesday342.
