CASE-ING TUESDAY #331 - MERRY SNOWFLAKES ❄️

Hi everyone! Welcome back to another CASE-ing Tuesday Sketch Challenge. Sorry, I had to miss last week. I was frantically trying to finish all my projects for a craft show. My card this week has got me thinking about snow. As most of you know, I live in Colorado. Today marks 216 days since the last snowfall. The last snow was recorded on April 21, 2021. This is the fifth longest streak of consecutive days without snow for Denver.

I love the iridescent snowflakes found in the Whimsy & Wonder 12" x 12" DSP. This paper is a lovely choice for those who want to celebrate the spirit of the season. Images include gifts, trees, snowflakes (as you see here) and more!

The card we are CASE-ING this week can be found on page 30 of the Holiday Mini Catalog. It features products from the Sweet Stockings Suite.

Here are the card dimensions if you want to play along! I followed the card measurements exactly this week making it simple, easy, and fun!

I started with a Basic White Thick Card Base. I cut (3) 1" x 3-3/4" iridescent strips from the Whimsy & Wonder 12" x 12" DSP. I attached them to the card base with adhesive. I left approximately 1/4" space between each of the strips. Next, I adhered the 3-1/8" x 4-7/8" piece of snowflake DSP from the same paper pack.  It's absolutely stunning in real life!

I stamped all three snowflakes in Smoky Slate ink on Basic White cardstock and die cut the images out using the coordinating Stitched Snowflakes Dies. I attached each of the snowflakes to the card base using dimensionals.

Here's another take that showcases the Opal Rounds. They add just the right touch of shimmer to the card. They are self-adhesive so you just peel and stick.

The sentiment was stamped in Smoky Slate Ink on a piece of 3/4" x 3" Basic White cardstock. I adhered the sentiment to the card base using dimensionals.

For the last step, I tied a bow using the White 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon. The subtle shimmer on this delicate white ribbon elevates any paper crafting project.

I thought I would shake it up a bit this week and decided to embellish the inside of my card. I included one of the sentiments included in the stamp set. It's perfect for the Holiday season!

The outside layer is a piece of 4" x 5-1/4" Blushing Bride cardstock. The inside layer measures 3-3/4" x 5". The snowflake DSP layer measures 1" x 3-3/4".

Now it's your turn! Create your take on this week's sample and be sure to share it on the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group using #caseingtuesday331.
