CASE-ING TUESDAY #326 - GINGERBREAD & PEPPERMINT

Hi everyone! Do you ever have a tough time trying to select a single design from your patterned paper? Have I got a solution for you! This week's CASE-ing Tuesday Sketch Challenge allows you to use several different designs instead. 

The card I designed this week features products from the Gingerbread & Peppermint Suite. I LOVE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE DESIGNS in this pack of 6" x 6" DSP!!!   

The card we are CASE-ing this week is from the Holiday Mini Catalog and can be found on page 24. 

Here are the measurements if you would like to play along. I followed most of the measurements exactly. The only thing I changed was the sample measurement for the sentiment. I needed it to be longer for the greeting I chose.  

I started with a 4-1/4" x 11" piece of Thick Basic White cardstock scored at 5-1/2" and folded in half. For the next layer on the card, I selected this "YUMMY" design of pattern paper because it reminds me of icing on a gingerbread cookie. I cut this layer 4" x 5-1/4" and adhered it to the front of the card base.  

 

Here's a look at the five designs I selected from the Gingerbread & Peppermint 6: x 6" DSP. I cut each of the strips 3/4" x 4-1/4" in length. I started from the top and layered them one by one onto the card base.

The last card layer includes a 3" x 4-1/2" piece of Vellum cardstock. 

Using the coordinating Gingerbread dies I die cut one of the cookie shapes from the DSP. I attached it to the card using dimensionals. I added a fun element to the die cut using one of the Gingerbread & Peppermint Acrylic Shapes. 

I followed the same step above and die cut this fun ornament shaped cookie. I adhered the Real Red 3/8" Mini Ruffled Ribbon bow using a Glue Dot and trimmed off any excess off the ends.

Here's a look at the last die cut. 

I stamped the "happy holidays" sentiment in Early Espresso Ink and adhered it to the card base using dimensionals.
