CASE-ING TUESDAY #315 - WHIMISICAL TREES

I hope you like it! When I first took a peek at the Holiday Catalog, I immediately feel in love with the Whimsy & Wonder Suite found on page 24 & 25. This suite focuses on non-traditional Christmas colors.

This week's sample card can be found on page 13 of the Sale-A-Bration brochure. Isn't it pretty? I love all the subtle colors. 

I wanted to keep my card simple this week and decided to follow the measurements exactly. 

I started with a 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Blushing Bride card base scored at 4-1/4" and folded in half. I turned the card base horizontally instead of vertically this week. I cut a piece of iridescent stripe DSP from the Whimsy & Wonder 12" x 12" DSP.  Next, I die cut this layer using the second largest Stitched With Whimsy Die. It's so cool because it gives the look of a frame. I adhered this layer using Stampin' Seal. 

I embossed a 2-5/8" x 3-7/8" piece of Basic White cardstock with the Bark 3D Embossing Folder. I adhered this piece on the card base at a slight angle.  

I stamped the tree in Smoky Slate Ink on Basic White cardstock. I stamped the lights in Blushing Bride Ink. I die cut the image out using the coordinating Christmas Trees Dies. I adhered the tree die cut using dimensionals. 

Next, I fussy cut the three packages you see here from the Whimsy & Wonder 12" x 12" DSP. I adhered the packages to the card base using dimensionals & glue dots. 

The sentiment was stamped in Smoky Slate Ink on a 3/4" x 2-3/8" piece of Basic White cardstock. I banner cut one of the ends and attached the sentiment to the card base using snail. I cut approximately 6" of Silver Simply Elegant Trim and tied it in a bow. I adhered the bow using a Glue Dot and trimmed off any excess off the ends. I always add a touch of bling to my cards so I added three 2021-2023 In Color Jewels to the upper right corner.
