CASE-ING TUESDAY #311 - TURTLE FRIENDS 🐢

I don't know if you're like me, but I never seem to have enough baby cards on hand. However, isn't this card just the cutest! I've seen so many cute cards using the Turtle Friends bundle. Mine just arrived last Friday. I knew it would be perfect for this week's challenge.
The original card was designed with the What's Cookin' Stamp Set found on page 156 of the Annual Catalog.
I found the dimensions for this week's sketch are SIMPLE, EASY, and FUN!
I started with a 4-1/4" x 11" Soft Succulent cardstock scored @ 5-1/2". Adhere a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of 2021-2023 In Color 6" x 6" DSP in Soft Succulent. The fun circle design spoke to me because it reminds of the turtle shells.
On a piece of 3-1/2" x 3-3/4" basic white cardstock, I stamped the outline of the large and small turtle in Memento Black Ink. Next, I stamped the inside of the turtle shell in Evening Evergreen. I also stamped the grass in Evening Evergreen. I attached the Basic White layer to the card base using dimensionals.
I colored both the turtles using Stampin' Blends. I used Dark Mint Macaron for the turtle's body. I used Light Just Jade for the shell. Light Crumb Cake on the feet.
I cut a 1-1/2" x 1-3/4" piece of Soft Succulent cardstock. Using my paper snips I trimmed the layer into a pennant. I stamped the "hello, little one" sentiment in Soft Succulent ink and adhered it to the card base using Stampin' Seal.
For the last step, I tied a 14" piece of 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon in Soft Succulent around the top of the card base and finished with a bow. I cut the ends of the ribbon right down the middle using my paper snips. This adds a special touch.
