CASE-ing Tuesday #291 - Darling Donkeys

Here's a look at the sample and sketch for today's card inspiration:
The original card features the Lots of Heart Bundle. With Sale-A-Bration coming close to an end I have been waiting anxiously to play with these adorable donkeys! Hurry, you better act fast! This stamp set is only available while supplies last. Sadly, Sale-A-Bration ends on February 28th.
I followed the sketch exactly for all my measurements (except for the sentiment). I also had fun coloring the darling donkeys with my Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.
I selected a design from the Oh So Ombre DSP (another Sale-A-Bration item) and applied that to the front of a Rococo Rose card base. I stamped the images of the donkeys in Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock.
I used the following Stampin' Blends:
- Petal Pink Dark (Inside Ears)
- Smoky Slate Light (Body)
- Smoky Slate Dark (Hoofs, Tail, & Mane)
- Ivory (Mouth)
The sentiment was created using the new Double Oval Punch. First, I stamped "Hee Haw!" using Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock. Next, I used the larger oval to punch out the layer in Basic Gray cardstock. I added a few Stampin' Dimensionals and applied the sentiment towards the bottom of the card. For the last step, I added three iridescent pearls.
That's it! Such a simple & easy card!
