CASE-ing Tuesday #290 - Forever & Always Bundle

Happy Tuesday everyone and welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! If this is your first time here, I am so glad you stopped by! Here's a look at the sample and sketch for today's card inspiration:

The original card features the Flowering Cactus Product Medley. With Valentine's Day right around the corner I decided to use the Forever & Always Bundle to create my take on this week's sample.

I followed the sketch for all my measurements expect for the large stitched circle. It may be just a tad bit larger than the 2 3/4" requirement. I also had fun heat embossing which is one of my favorite techniques!

Here are the steps you take when heat embossing an image:

  1. Gently rub the Embossing Buddy over the front of the card base. This helps with static control and makes it so much easier when you go to apply the embossing powder.
  2. Stamp your image in Versamark Ink. I chose the flower image for this card and randomly stamped on the front of the card base.
  3. Apply White Stampin' Emboss Powder gently shaking off any excess.
  4. Use the Stampin' Heat Tool and hold it approximately an inch away from the project and let the heat do it's MAGIC! CAUTION: ALWAYS BE CAREFUL TO NOT BURN YOURSELF!!!

You can literally watch the powder melt and turn into a glossy finish. It's AMAZING!

I selected a design from the True Love DSP and applied that to the front of the card. I then cut a strip of the GORGEOUS Love You Always Specialty DSP and trimmed the end off at an angle. I cut out a large circle from a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock using the Stitched Shapes Dies. I applied that to the center of the DSP square. I stamped the "You More" sentiment using Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and trimmed the ends at an angle. I added a few Stampin' Dimensionals and applied the sentiment towards the bottom of the circle. The "Love" die cut is actually two pieces cut out & layered one on top of the other. I used Stampin' Dimnsionals on the back and centered it on the circle.

Next, I added (three) Matte Black Dots. Then I tied a bow using the Blushing Bride 3/8" Metallic Ribbon. Adhere with a Glue Dot.

Now it's your turn! Create your take on this week's sample and be sure to share it on the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group using #caseingtuesday290.
