Monday Montage - Oceans Of Friends Lobster Card 🦞

Welcome to another Monday Montage Hop! As most of you know, I don't live anywhere near an ocean. However, that didn't stop me from purchasing the Friends of the Ocean Suite Collection. 

The Friends of the Ocean Suite Collection features bright & bold colors. I love all the paper designs in the Friends of the Ocean 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper. Check out all those geometric designs & patterns. 

I live in a small town in Northern Colorado that is nestled along the foothills. I woke up to a surprise this morning. This majestic herd of elk was relaxing on the golf course behind my house. There were eight bulls in total. We are no strangers to witnessing active wildlife. I must admit sometimes it feels like we are on the National Geographic channel with our animal spotting over the years. Mainly foxes, coyotes, geese, eagles, & hawks to name a few, but this was such a rare sight indeed! 

I selected a Summer Splash card base. I really liked the wave pattern featuring Melon Mambo so I used that as my next 4" x 5 1/4" card layer. For the next element of design, I cut a piece of Summer Splash 2 3/4" x 3 1/2" cardstock and layered it with the 2 1/2" x 3 1/4" triangle pattern in Calypso Coral. The circle die cut is from the Spotlight on Nature Dies. I stamped the greeting in Melon Mambo ink.  

Did you know the dies in the Ocean Friends die set can actually cut out the lobsters & other images from the patterned paper? It helps save so much time!

I die cut several seaweed using Lemon Lime Twist cardstock. Next, I added Sunny Day Iridescent Dots in Summer Splash.
