CASE-ING TUESDAY #420 - EVERYDAY THANKS

August is always a busy month. It's back to school time! I can't believe my daughter is going away to college this year. My husband and I get to help her move into her dorm room next week. It's going to be bittersweet for both of us. We will officially become empty nesters.

Have you checked out the Everyday Thanks Stamp Set? This stamp set is a tribute to everyday heroes! The Everyday Thanks stamp set has images and sentiments to help you thank the unsung heroes who make a difference in our communities. Do you want to thank a tireless teacher or coach? The medical professional who goes above and beyond? The first responder who shows up in any emergency? Stamp an image - a stethoscope, bandage, pencil, emergency light, or whistle - and sentiment, then give it to a deserving nurse, teacher, police officer, paramedic, or other community helper. The bold, line-art images are easy to stamp, so stamping multiples is simple. And they are perfect for coloring, making them a great choice for kids who want to make their own thank you cards.  You'll use this set over and over again, because you will never run out of reasons to say thanks!

Here's a look at the example card along with measurements of the card we are CASE-ing this week.

Let's create this fun card! I started with a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" Crushed Curry card base. Both the Designer Series Papers are from the Delightfully Eclectic 12" x 12" Paper Pack. I really liked the notebook paper design so I layered the 3" x 4-1/4" piece on top of the 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" black and white paper design.

Next, using the second largest circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies, I die cut a Basic Black circle. Punch a Basic White Circle using the 2-3/8" Circle Punch. Layer this circle on the stitched circle. Attach it the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stamp the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on a 1" x 2-5/8" Basic White cardstock layer. I trimmed the edge with the Banners Pick A Punch. I layered it on a 7/8" x 2-1/4" piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock. Attach the sentiment to the right corner of the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stamp the pencil image in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock. Color the image using the following Stampin' Blends:
  1. Flirty Flamingo (Light)
  2. Smoky Slate (Light)
  3. Lemon Lolly (Dark)
  4. Light (SU900)
  5. Basic Black (Dark)
Using Paper Snips, fussy cut the image out. Attach the image to the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Lastly, I thought it would be fun to stamp the inside of the card using the whistle stamp. Such a perfect stamp for any educator, coach, or crossing guard. Stamp the image using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on a piece of 4" x 5-1/4" Basic White cardstock layer. Adhere this layer to a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Basic Black cardstock. Adhere the Basic Black layer to the inside of the card.

I used the following Stampin' Blends to color the whistle:
  1. Smoky Slate (Light)
  2. Flirty Flamingo (Light)
  3. Basic Black (Dark)
I hope you'll agree that the Everyday Thanks stamp set is a great investment. I see myself using this one year after year.
