CASE-ING TUESDAY #419 - SO VERY MERRY STAMP SET

Hello August! The season will be changing soon and Fall is almost here. Now is the perfect time to start thinking about the upcoming Holidays. The So Very Merry Stamp Set is an Online Exclusive. Today's sketch features a fun card that is perfect for the Fall Season. 


My card making journey begins with heat embossing. Grab all your supplies and let's get started. 
You will need:
  1. So Very Merry Stamp Set (Angel)
  2. VersaMark Ink
  3. Silver Embossing Powder
  4. Heat Embossing Gun
  5. Basic White Cardstock
  • Heat Emboss Angel Image: 
    • Stamp image in VersaMark ink on Basic White cardstock.
    • Apply Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder
    • Tap off any excess powder
    • Heat Emboss using a Heat Tool



I still can't get over the excitement of watching the embossing powder change from dull to shiny. So cool!


Next, I colored the angel using Stampin' Blends. These are another must have Stampin' Up! product that I cannot live without. I use them A LOT! 

Stampin' Blends Colors:
  1. Ivory
  2. Cherry Cobbler (Light & Dark)
  3. Wild Wheat (Light & Dark)
  4. Lost Lagoon (Light)
  5. Pebble Path (Light)
  6. Pretty Peacock (Light & Dark)
  7. Gray Granite (Light & Dark)
  8. Color Lifter
Once you are finished coloring, punch the image out using the coordinating 2-3/8" Circle Punch. 


I started with a 4-1/4" x 11" (scored at 5-1/2") Pretty Peacock card base. I stamped the "Bells" from the So Very Merry Stamp Set in Pretty Peacock ink on the card front. 


Select a pattern from the One Horse Open Sleigh 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper. Using a paper trimmer, cut it down to 3" x 4-3/4". Adhere it to the center of the card base.  


For the next layer, I trimmed a piece of Vellum cardstock to 1-7/8" x 3-7/8". I adhered it to the card base using Mini Glue Dots. Don't worry! Once you place the punched image on the card front it will cover the glue dots. 


Attach the angel image to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals. 


Next, it's time to create the greeting. I love the flexibility of Photopolymer Stamps. In order to get the sentiment straight rather than bent. You can maneuver the stamp as you place it on the clear block. It's so easy and it gives you a few more options when using your stamps!
  • Heat Emboss Greeting: 
    • Stamp "Peace and Joy" in VersaMark ink on 3/4" x 3-1/2" Cherry Cobbler label.
    • Apply Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder
    • Tap off any excess powder
    • Heat Emboss using a Heat Tool
I cut approximately 10" the Simply Elegant Trim in Silver and tied a bow. Attach the bow to the card base using a Mini Glue Dot. To finish off the look, I applied (3) Festive Pearls in Silver.
