SCRAPBOOKING GLOBAL BLOG HOP JANUARY 2022

Hi everyone! Welcome to my first Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop of the new year. If it's your first time visiting my page, I'm so happy you are here!

Our Decorative Borders theme challenge was chosen by Scrapbooking Global Design Team Member Sherry Roth. I chose a decorative border edge for my layout. I selected fun conversation hearts to complete the look.

Love is in the air! Here is the page I created. It makes for a fun "conversation" piece. I started with a 12" x 12" Basic White cardstock for my base. Next, I determined which pattern papers I thought would coordinate great together. I ended up selecting these soft pastels. If your looking for traditional Valentine Paper. The Sweet Talk 12" x 12" DSP has everything you need. Many of the patterns feature hearts, but you'll also find versatile patterns such as stripes and polka dots that can be used any time for any occasion.

I often get asked "Why did you become a Stampin' Up! demonstrator?". It wasn't just because of the great products, that would have made it an easy choice! Honestly, it was because of the product & color coordination. Stampin' Up! takes the guess work out of trying to figure what embellishments will work with what papers etc.

Here's a closer look at what I mean by product coordination. I cut a large piece of the Sweet Talk Conversation Heart pattern paper and used the coordinating Sweet Heart Dies to cut out all the various designs.

Next, I created this colorful border by layering the heart die cuts one on top of the other.

I also die cut several tiny hearts using the same collection of dies in Heather Highland and Petal Pink cardstock.

I added dimensionals under a few of the heart die cuts to add dimension.

If you haven't purchased the new Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels you are definitely missing out! I find myself reaching for these at every opportunity. They are the perfect finishing touch for any project!

I added a bow in the upper right hand corner using White Baker's Twine.
