CASE-ING TUESDAY #339 - FRIENDLY HELLO

The example card we are CASE-ing can be found on the page 44 of the Mini Spring Catalog.
I followed the card measurements exactly this week.
I started with a Petal Pink card base. Next, I added the 4-1/4" x 5" Floral DSP layer to the card base using adhesive. I embossed the 3-1/2" x 4" piece of Pool Party cardstock with the new Gingham Embossing Folder.
I stamped the image in Memento Black Ink on a piece of 2-1/2" x 4" Basic White cardstock layer. I used several Stampin' Blends to color the image.
Bird: Light & Dark Pool Party
Branch: Dark Crumb Cake
Petals: Light Granny Apple Green
Flowers: Light & Dark Petal Pink
After I was done coloring the bird and flowers, I grabbed my Stampin' Blends Color Lifter to gently "lift" or pull some of the color away from the image. This creates additional highlights and dimensions.
In place of the doilies found on the example card, I decided to use elements from the Expressions In Ink Ephemera Pack. The gold accents add instant elegance and glamour to the card.
I die cut a Basic White tag from the Tailor Made Tags Dies. I stamped the sentiment from the Friendly Hello Stamp Set in Memento Black Ink. I attached the tag to the card base using dimensionals. I cut a piece of 4" Pale Papaya & White 1/2" Woven Ribbon and pulled it through the tag opening. Next, I cut a 6" piece of Whisper White Baker's Twine and tied it around the ribbon making a bow. Cut off any excess from the ends.
Last, I placed several Iridescent Rhinestones in various sizes on the card.
