SCRAPBOOKING GLOBAL BLOG HOP DECEMBER 2021

I had so much fun with this month's Naughty & Nice theme challenge selected by Sharon Dalton. I thought long and hard trying to avoid a layout that reflected Christmas. To my surprise I came up with NOTHING! Since Christmas is right around the corner, I found these two photos that I had taken during my daughter's third grade Christmas party at school.  Do you think she made Santa's Naughty or Nice List that year?

I started with a 12" x 12" piece of Basic White cardstock for my base. Next, I selected several patterns of paper from the Whimsy & Wonder 12" x 12" DSP.

Here are the DSP measurements:
  • 6-3/4" x 8-1/8" Iridescent Stripe
  • 4-1/2" x 12" Multi-Color Stripe (Horizontal)
  • 2-1/2" x 12" Pink Herringbone

So this is the first photo I stumbled upon. This photo is of my daughter being NAUGHTY! This moment resonates in my mind because she was tired of me taking pictures and decided to be ornery.

Here is a photo I captured of her being NICE. The class was able to make shrinky dink ornaments and she had just finished coloring her design. She was so proud of how it turned out.

For my layout this month, I used a retired stamp set called Greetings from Santa. I stamped the "Naughty or Nice" sentiment in Polished Pink Ink and punched the image out using a 1-3/4" Circle Punch. I layered the image on a 2" Polished Pink punched circle. I added dimensionals to the bottom and placed it on page.

Next, I stamped the list in Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and fussy cut the image out. Once complete, I cut the image in half and layered the two pieces underneath the circle sentiment. I also fussy cut the tiny bow from one of the designs found in the Whimsy & Wonder 12" x 12" DSP. This paper just recently sold out and is no longer available.

I fussy cut the large tree and each of the presents from the Whimsy & Wonder 12" x 12" DSP. For added depth, I placed a few dimensionals on the backside of the pink present.

I die cut these fun stars in Polished Pink, Basic White, and Misty Moonlight using the retired Detailed Santa Thinlits Dies.
