Sunflower Fields DSP: 4" x 5-1/4"
Early Espresso Cardstock: 3" x 4"

You'll also need a piece of Basic White cardstock or scrap paper large enough to stamp and color your floral images and a piece for the sentiment.
Step-by-Step Directions
1. Create the Card Base
Start with a piece of Secret Sea Cardstock measuring 4-1/4" x 11".
Score it at 5-1/2" and fold along the score line to create your standard A2 card base.
Use your bone folder to create a nice, crisp fold.
2. Add the Pecan Pie Layer & Plaid Background
Cut a piece of Pecan Pie Cardstock to 4-1/8" x 5 3/8". Adhere to the front center of the Secret Sea card base, leaving an even border of Secret Sea cardstock around the edges.
Cut a piece of Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper to 4" x 5-1/4".
Adhere the DSP to the front of the Pecan Pie layer, leaving an even border around the edges.
The plaid pattern creates the perfect backdrop for all of the beautiful floral elements.
3. Build the Floral Focal Point
Cut a piece of Early Espresso Cardstock measuring 3" x 4".
Then cut a coordinating piece of Sunflower Fields DSP measuring 2-3/4" x 3-3/4".
Adhere the smaller DSP layer to the Early Espresso cardstock.
Before attaching this piece to the card, wrap a length of Mossy Meadow & Very Vanilla 1/4" Gingham Ribbon around the left side of the layered panel. Secure the ends on the back with adhesive.
Adhere the completed panel to the card front.
4. Stamp the Flowers
Using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, stamp the floral images from the Radiant Flowers stamp set onto your cardstock.
Allow the ink to dry for a moment before coloring to help prevent smearing.
5. Color the Flowers
Now comes the fun part—coloring!
Use your Stampin’ Blends to bring the flowers to life:
Mossy Meadow – leaves and greenery
Golden Glow – yellow sunflower petals
Calypso Coral – coral-colored flowers
Pecan Pie – flower centers and warm brown details
For added depth, use the darker shade of each color in the shadow areas and the lighter shade to blend toward the highlights.
Once your flowers are colored, cut them out using the coordinating dies if available, or carefully fussy-cut around the stamped images.
6. Arrange the Flowers
Arrange your colored floral pieces over the layered DSP panel.
I recommend creating a loose cluster with flowers extending around the sentiment area. Let some of the flowers overlap the edge of the sentiment piece for added dimension and visual interest.
Once you're happy with the arrangement, adhere the flowers in place. Use Stampin' Dimensionals on some of the flowers to give the arrangement extra depth.
7. Create the Sentiment
Stamp “Thinking of You” in Early Espresso ink.
Trim the sentiment piece to fit the center of your floral arrangement.
The soft, neutral sentiment panel provides a nice resting place for the eye while allowing the colorful flowers to remain the star of the card.
Adhere the sentiment over the floral arrangement, using Dimensionals if you'd like it raised above the flowers.
8. Add the Finishing Touches
Finally, add a few Radiant Gems around the card front.
These little touches of sparkle are the perfect finishing detail and help draw attention to the beautiful floral arrangement.
Your card is complete! 🌻
A Little Sunshine in Every Card
I absolutely love how this card combines the rustic feel of the Sunflower Fields DSP with the beautiful hand-colored flowers. The plaid background gives it a cozy country feel, while the gingham ribbon and Radiant Gems add those special finishing touches.
And sometimes a simple “Thinking of You” is exactly the message someone needs to receive. 💛
I hope this project inspires you to pull out your favorite Designer Series Paper, grab your Stampin’ Blends, and create a little sunshine of your own!
