Stampin' Up! Poised Peony for the CASE-ing Tuesday #462 Sketch Challenge
I'm back for another CASE-ing Tuesday Sketch Challenge. I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. My husband and I recently surprised our daughter with a quick trip to Las Vegas to celebrate her "Golden" birthday. She turned "19" on May 19th. We stayed at the New York, New York Casino and checked out the King Tut Exhibit at the Luxor. We visited the top of the Eiffel Tower to watch the Bellagio fountains and witnessed some magic performed by AGT winner Shin Lim. We had a great time!

I've had my eye on the Poised Peony Stamp Set & coordinating Frames & Flowers 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper ever since I got my hands on the Annual Catalog. First, the colors are my jam. Lost Lagoon paired with Petal Pink make a great color combination. Wouldn't you agree? When you flip to these specific product pages in the catalog (pgs. 28-29) you can see both these items are perfect for simple gift packaging. I definitely see so much more. How about a fun scrapbook layout using the precut frames and elements that are ready for you to use? I chose to design a simple card that utilizes one of the frames and one of the fun patterned paper designs. Next, I stamped the Lost Lagoon card base tone on tone with the small Peony Flower image from the stamp set. I wanted the large Peony Flower to be the focal point of my card. I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it using Petal Pink & Lost Lagoon Stampin' Blends. Next, I fussy cut the image out and adhered it to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals. For the last element of design, I added (3) Iridescent Faceted Gems. So elegant!
