WE CREATE BLOG HOP - MARCH TO A DIFFERENT BEAT
Welcome back to the We Create Blog Hop! For the month of March, we decided to MARCH TO A DIFFERENT BEAT. Have you checked out the Rock & Roll Suite Collection? It's definitely one of my favorites. It's perfect for all the Rock Stars in your life!
Here are the supplies I used:
Stamp Set: Rock Star
Dies: Rock Star & Stylish Shapes
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight & Basic White
Designer Series Paper: Rock & Roll 12" x 12"
Ink: Tuxedo Memento Black & Pool Party
Stampin' Blends Markers: Dark Daffodil Delight & Dark Cherry Cobbler
Embellishments: Adhesive-Backed Lightning & Stars
Ribbon: Simply Elegant Trim in Gold
Accessories: Large Blending Brush
Let's create this fun card! I started with a 4-1/4" x 11" scored at 5-1/2" Cherry Cobbler card base. I layered the 4" x 5-1/4" Rock & Roll Designer Series Paper onto a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock. Did you know? The paper in this suite are completely black-and-white designs that pair perfectly with the stamps and dies. I decided I wanted to add a hint of color so I grabbed my Pool Party Ink pad and a Large Blending Brush. Using small circular motions, I added a "splash" of color to the center of the designer series paper design.
Next, using the guitar pick metal die, I die cut the element out from one of the existing Rock & Roll paper designs. Before I placed this element on the card front, I cut approximately 24" of the Simply Elegant Trim in Gold and looped it behind the guitar pick die cut. Once complete, I adhered the die cut to the center of the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, I stamped the guitar image on a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock. I die cut the image out using the coordinating metal guitar die found in the Rock Star Die Set. I colored the guitar with the following Stampin' Blends: (Dark) Cherry Cobbler & (Dark) Daffodil Delight. I attached the guitar to the card front using Stampin' Mini Dimensionals.
I stamped the greeting in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a Stylish Shapes Circle Die Cut. Then attached it to the top right corner of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
To complete the look, I added several Adhesive-Backed Lightning & Stars.
