CASE-ING TUESDAY #450 - EXCELLENT EGGS

Celebrate Easter and Springtime with the Excellent Eggs Bundle. What's less messy than dyeing Easter eggs but just as colorful and as fun? Creating die-cut Easter eggs and bunnies with the Excellent Eggs Dies! These cool dies have egg shapes in different sizes and accent pieces in different designs so you can create the pieces you want.

Have you ever had a happy accident? That's kind of what happened to me today as I was "dyeing" my Easter egg. 

I die cut the zig-zag and scallops elements using pastel cardstock (Soft Sea Foam, Petal Pink, Lemon Lolly, Highland Heather, & Petal Pink). After I carefully glued each one in place. I trimmed off the over hang from each of the sides using my paper snips. Then I decided I wanted to add the element of a stitched design to the center of my egg. Here's where you should continue reading. 

Well, guess what? I didn't think the whole die cutting process through. I accidentally die cut the egg in half! To my surprise, it turned out to be just the element of design that I needed for my Happy Easter greeting card. 

After my "happy mistake", I decided to fill my Easter egg with what else...candy of course! I stamped the bunny in Early Espresso ink on Pecan Pie cardstock. Then die cut the image out. I cut a 3/4" x 2" piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock. I wanted the look of grass inside the Easter egg so I cut the cardstock for a fringe look. 

Were you able to guess how I created the Jelly Beans? I used the Cutest Cows Builder Punch. Who knew a builder punch could be so versatile? Too cute right?!
