One of my favorite product suites in the Holiday Catalog is the Sweetest Christmas Collection. I just love traditional Christmas colors of red and green and fun candy stripe designs.
The example card we are CASE-ing can be found on page 11 of the Holiday Mini Catalog. This card has such a unique banner that really helps make the card stand out.
If you want to play along here is a look at the card measurements. I followed the measurements exactly except for the sentiment which I cut down to 1/2" x 4-1/4".
I started with a Real Red card base. Next, I selected this fun stripe design from the Sweetest Christmas 12" x 12" DSP. It reminds me design that you would find on a candy cane. Adhere this DSP layer to the center of the card base.
I added two strips of the Real Red 6" x 6" Glimmer Paper to the Basic White cardstock layer.
I used both the Sweet Candy Cane & Christmas Banners Stamp Sets to complete the look you see above. I stamped each of the images using the following colors:
Garden Green (Leaves)
Mossy Meadow (Holly Leaves)
Pear Pizzazz (Pine Branches)
Early Espresso (Holly Stem)
Real Red (Holly Berries)
For the last element of design, I heat embossed the sentiment using White Embossing Powder on a Garden Green cardstock layer. Attach the sentiment to the card front using mini dimensionals.
The Flat Jingle Bell Trinkets are the perfect accessory to add to your Christmas Cards this year! I secured mine in place with a Mini Glue Dot after threading a thin piece of Linen Thread through the top. ADDED PERK: These are designed to be flat for hassle-free mailing - no bumpy envelopes!
