CASE-ING TUESDAY #299 - SNAILED IT

I'M BACK! Sorry, I had to miss last week's CASE-ing Tuesday. We were busy traveling to Kansas City, Missouri for a club volleyball tournament.

I hope you enjoy the card I created for today's sketch challenge. I kept it simple which can sometimes be difficult for me. I definitely would not categorize myself as a simple stamper. I'm more of an avid stamper. I like ribbon, layers, and embellishments! LOL!

However, this card design is perfect for a beginner. Be sure to give it a try if this is your first time stamping.

Time to play along! Today's card was CASE'D from page 2 of the Spring Mini Catalog. The great thing about participating in the challenge is you can makeover the card below exactly the way it's featured in the catalog or you can change a little by adding your element of design. Trust me. I was tempted to create this GORGEOUS card! I love the Fine Art Floral Suite.

I thought this week's challenge paired well with the Snailed It Bundle. I love all the bright colors found in the Snail Mail DSP!

  • Real Red
  • Blushing Bride
  • Daffodil Delight
  • Bermuda Bay
  • Basic Gray

I selected Daffodil Delight for my card base. I cut a 3 3/8" x 4 3/4" piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock. I adhered a 3" x 4 3/8" piece of DSP on to the Bermuda Bay cardstock layer. I glued this layer on the center of the card base.

Isn't the 12" x 12" Snail Mail DSP so much fun? You get 12 sheets (2 each of 6 double-sided designs). These cute little mushrooms caught my eye. I may have to use this DSP again to create a fun scrapbook layout. Stay tuned...

Talk about cuteness overload! I stamped the adorable snail in Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and then die cut the image using the coordinating Snail Dies. I colored the snail using the following Stampin' Blends:
  1. Dark Bermuda Bay (Shell)
  2. Dark Pool Party (Shell)
  3. Light Real Red (Heart on envelope)
  4. Dark Petal Pink (Outside envelope)
  5. Light & Dark Daffodil Delight (Snail Body)

Next, I stamped the greeting in Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and trimmed the ends with the Banners Pick A Punch. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to attach both the sentiment and the snail to the card.

Now it's your turn! Create your take on this week's sample and be sure to share it on the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group using #caseingtuesday299.
