CASE-ING TUESDAY #558 - SWEET BUGS GREETING CARD

Happy Tuesday, crafty friends! It’s time for another CASE-ing Tuesday Sketch Challenge, and this week I couldn’t resist playing with the adorable Sweet Bugs Photopolymer Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up! I absolutely love how cheerful and versatile these little critters are — perfect for springtime cards or any occasion that calls for some whimsical joy.

For this week’s sketch, I followed the basic layout but added my own twist with layering and playful color. I started with a base of Cloud Cover cardstock, then added two coordinating layers of Designer Series Paper in using both the front and back patterns. The bug & flower images were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on Basic White, then colored using Stampin’ Blends in Daffodil Delight Light & Dark, Smoky Slate Dark, Petal Pink, and Old Olive Dark.

To bring the card to life, I used the coordinating dies to cut the bug & flower and popped them up on Stampin’ Dimensionals for extra depth. The greeting—“Spread Joy”—fit the sketch perfectly across the bottom of the banner. Wink of Stella gave the bugs wing a little sparkle and motion.

Here’s a tip if you’re CASE-ing this week’s design: don’t be afraid to mix patterns & designs! Pairing a bold geometric print with a imaginative design can give your project dimension while keeping the sketch’s clean lines intact.
