CASE-ING TUESDAY #497 - SALE-A-BRATION DOCUMENTING THE DAY

When I first glanced at the Sale-A-Bration brochure. The Documenting the Day Stamp Set stood out to me right away. Not only is this stamp set perfect for daily phrases that are great for adding titles to scrapbook pages. It creates bold accents just like the one I used for this card.

The sketch this week was the one I selected from the Spring Mini Catalog! Hope you play along with us!

The CASE-ing Tuesday Sketch Challenges are a simple tool that helps bring design inspiration and puts them into action. Have you joined the CASE-ing Tuesday group on Facebook yet? If not, we would love to have you.

I absolutely love all the patterns and pastel colors found in the Wildflower Birthday 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper. I thought it would be fun to pair this paper with the Documenting the Day Stamp Set that you can earn for FREE with any Stampin' Up! purchase of $60 or more. I started with a Peach Pie card base. I cut a 5 1/4" x 4" Wildflower Birthday Designer Series Paper layer. On the 4 1/2" x 2" Basic White card stock layer I heat embossed the word "DAY" using Metallics WOW! Embossing Powder in Gold. Once complete, I glued this layer to the card front. I cut another 4 7/8" x 5/8" piece of Wildflower Celebration Designer Series Paper using the pink & white gingham design. I glued this designer series paper layer to the bottom of the gold embossed layer. I stamped the title "what a beautiful day" in Blueberry Bushel ink on a 4 1/4" x 3/4" Basic White card stock layer. I applied this to the bottom of the gingham pattern designer series paper using dimensionals. I had fun decorating the top of the card using pre-printed die cuts from the paper pack. I added (3) Party Dots to the center of each flower.

Happy Stamping!
