CASE-ING TUESDAY #493 - NEW STAMPIN' UP! FRIENDS OF THE OCEAN SUITE COLLECTION

Countdown to the New Year! As we say goodbye to 2024 and hello to 2025, I would like to share with you a new Suite Collection being introduced in the Spring Mini Catalog. It's called Friends of the Ocean. Even though I don't live anywhere near the ocean, I just knew I had get to my hands on these colorful ocean themed products.

I stamped the bubbles from the Ocean Friends Stamp Set in Pumpkin Pie ink on the card front.

I added a colorful layer from the Friends of the Ocean 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper.

Next, I added a Basic White Stitched Square from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I attached the die cut using dimensionals.

I heat embossed the greeting using clear embossing powder on a Melon Mambo label from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I attached the greeting to the square die cut using dimensionals.

One of the cool things about the Ocean Friends Stamp Set is Color buddies. Color buddies are shades of the same hue. In the sample above, I paired a color that's in the paper with a color buddy for a flawless color combination. Utilizing the two-step stamping approach, I was able to build layered images that are color buddy-ready. In this case, I used Calypso Coral & Petal Pink to create the crab image.

The Ocean Friends Dies include dies to help create a paper sea scene. I used the Lemon Lime Twist coral die cut as a focal point on my card.
