CASE-ING TUESDAY #388 - DESERT DETAILS SNEAK PEEK

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! I have another fun sneak peek for you today! The card I designed uses products from the Delicate Desert Product Suite found on page 42 of the Spring Mini Catalog. I'm not typically a southwestern fan, but the Delicate Desert 12" x 12" DSP (Designer Series Paper) really caught my eye! I'm hoping to design a few scrapbook layouts with this GORGEOUS paper using photos from our family trip to the Grand Canyon a few years ago.

Here's the example card we are CASE-ing (Copy & Share Everything). Such a peaceful card. 

Time for the details. I followed the sketch exactly, but had to make one of the layers a little bit larger than what was originally called for to help accommodate the die cut frame that I used. Rather than the 1" x 1-3/4" layer. I used a 2" x 3-3/4" piece of cardstock instead. 

Steps: 

• Card Base (4-1/4" x 11" scored at 5-1/2") Gray Granite cardstock
• Card Layer: 2" x 3-3/4" Cajun Craze Cardstock
• Adhere to bottom of the card leaving approximately 1/4" around the edges
• Background Layer: Desert Details Dies frame in Basic White Cardstock
• Adhere to the center of the card base
• Die Cut Layer: Desert Details Dies Delicate Desert 12" x 12" DSP 
• layer on the inside of the Frame Die Cut
• Stamped Images: Desert Details Stamp Set 
• Stamp the large succulent in Cajun Craze Ink on Basic White cardstock
• Stamp the small succulent in Soft Suede Ink on Basic White cardstock
• Dies: Desert Details Dies
• Cut the large succulent image attach to card base using dimensionals 
• Cut the small succulent image attach to card base using small dimensionals
• Cut the plant using Soft Succulent Cardstock attach to card base with glue
• Sentiment: Painted Labels Dies
• Stamp greeting in Cajun Craze Ink on Basic White cardstock
• Die cut image using the label die
• Inside Layer: 5-1/4" x 4" Basic White Cardstock
• Stamp border image in Cajun Craze Ink
• Embellishments: Gold Faceted Adhesive-Backed Gems & Basic Gray Twine*
• the twine came in the December 2022 Good Things Come In Small Packages Paper Pumpkin Kit*
